Knight

“Knight was an owner surrender and joined North East Rottweiler Rescue & Referral in December, 2008. He entered his foster home in very poor shape. He was filthy, overweight, and had two ear infections. He had scars on his ears and nose, and very weak muscle tone. Bumping into him would cause him to fall over. Knight moved slowly and cringed at loud sounds. His testicles were scraped and scratched, and the large calluses on all four of his elbows clearly showed evidence of an outside dog, that rarely, if ever, enjoyed the comforts of home. We were told he was tied outside because one of his owners didn't want dog hair in the house.

With proper care and plenty of love and affection, Knight has made great progress. He's at a perfect weight and loves to run around and play with other dogs. He enjoys playing hide and seek and tug, though his favorite game is playing fetch. Knight is an affectionate and loving dog that loves to cuddle and roll on his back for belly rubs. Happy and content, Knight now has a new lease on life and is enjoying every minute of it!”
